Open All Hours was a BBC sitcom starring Ronnie Barker and David Jason. It was set in a small shop selling groceries in Yorkshire. Ronnie Barker played the owner, Albert Arkwright - a stammering miser with an instinct for selling. David Jason played his grandson Granville, who worked as an errand boy. Lynda Baron also starred in it, playing Gladys - a nurse who Albert longs to marry.
Open All Hours ran for 4 series, between 1976 and 1985, and 26 episodes. It was later followed by Still Open All Hours, where Granville now ran the shop.
