In October 2002 the company was acquired by ABN AMRO Capital one of Europe's largest banks and with financial investment have continued to growth in strength within their sector. There are currently over 250 Jessops stores and the next few years will mark another period of heavy store development with a target of around 450 stores planned. In November 2004 shares in the Jessops company were floated on the London Stock Exchange enabling both staff and customers to invest in the firms future.
