The above pretty much sums it up. I've got the US version of No More Heroes & know that as soon as I take my Wii online (which I'm not able to at the minute), that's it, the firmware update will prevent it from working. So if you're reading this as a new Wii owner (well done by the way) & are thinking of importing games, do it but just don't go on the internet. Unless of course Super Smash Bros Brawl has an update on it which renders it useless, I don't know.
The choice is yours.

Shaw, 20 Jun 2008 Although I do not own this particular product, it is worth noting that the latest firmware update for the Nintendo Wii (3.3) has now disabled the use of this Freeloader. I was quite interested in getting one for the US version of No More Heroes but I will now have to wait until a new revision that actuallly works with updated Wii's is released.

If You upgrade the Wii firmware to the latest 3.3 update sent on June 18th then you Freeloader will be disabled.Either don't upgrade firmware or don't buy this. I bought mine a week ago & now can't get it to work due to upgrade. Beware!!!

If you're annoyed about the delays of many pal versions of wii games, this is a must-buy...works perfectly & will save you a lot of time rather than waiting for games to come out in the EU.
Awesome - By: AGfortuna07, 14 May 2008 I got this so I could play my American import of "No More Heroes" for my wii.
It works perfectly, I highly recommend if you want games in Europe waaaaay before their release date, the games & postage are usuallly cheaper too.
This does NOT affect your wii at alll. But it will not work with online games such as Super Smash Brothers Brawl because if you get the US version you cannot connect to the US servers. But for games like No More Heroes & Manhunt 2 it is ideal, plus it is only £10!
