Awsome - By: A. D. Ward, 19 Jul 2008
I think that to rate this game with only one star is an outrage
i have had this game since christmas 07 & have plade it no end since.
there are loads of wepons & peices of amour to make & buy.
to creat new & improved amour & wepons you must find the items & materials that are required to make them.
you can get these items by killing monsters & taking the items that the have. which are things like scales claws & fangs & much more.
there are hundreds of different items & materials to be found.
to get the items you want you have to go out into the wild & to do that you have to participate in a quest.
in the quests you will have to kill monsters smalll & big or collect plants.
that may put you off a bit but there are quests that will let you go out & collect what you like with little hassle.
I can quite honestly say this is one of the best games i have ever plade
Wasn't pleased to begin with, but then i got into it. - By: D. Page, 29 Dec 2007
I bought this game because it looked good. Eager to play it i was suddenly disappointed, people couldn't speak & the action game i thought i was buying was filled with fluffy, cute animals! But then i started to play it for real & it was brilliant. It's so detailed, you get to fish, set traps & even cook meat, but don't leave it on the fire for to long or it will actuallly burn. There are eleven, yes eleven weapons to choose from! You get to customize your character, go on quests to slay rare monsters or lead a happy normal life in the wilderness & catch your food. Brill game, don't be too disappointed at first impression.
This Game is AMAZING! - By: Piers Roberts, 26 Nov 2007
I am 13 years old. I got a PSP 2 years ago when it first came out in the UK, I have been bored for a very long time & unable to find a good game that keeps you occupied for ages & that you dont complete after about 20 minutes.
Monster Hunter 2 Freedom changed EVERYTHING! My friend also has this game & it is great coming back to school after the weekend & saying "Look what i got!!!" this game is just amazing & if anything less than amazing was said about this game is a lie. I have played this game for 90+ hours & yet im not even a quarter of the way through! this game keeps me very well entertained when im bored around the house & at lunch time at school with my friend.
There are 2 different kinds of quests on Monster Hunter 2 Freedom:
"The Village quests" (which you get from the village chief)
and "The Guild Quests" (which you get from entering the guild)
you can do the guild quests on your own OR you can link up with your friend & do quests together! There is so much to do on this game its unbelievable how Jam-Packed it is with goodies.
There are so many different weapons, from he Acountor Bow to the teddybear hammer! there are so many different weapons in this game. You slowly unlock weapons as you progress through the game.
OVERALL:
This game is THE game to get for the PSP. You can play as either a girl OR a boy character so its good fun for everyone. A must have for Christmas! (MUMS AND DADS if you have a son or a daughter with a PSP get them this!)
Disappointed... - By: J. Cooper, 12 Nov 2007
I decided to buy this game after I read a few reviews that said it was good. I regret doing this for a few reasons:
First of alll, MHF2 is basicallly MHF1 with a few item/monster/quest additions. If you think can transfer your character from the 1st you are right. But I did this, & to be honest it was pathetic. I have clocked over 300 hours of play & completed much of the game but most of the old items are not in MHF2 so it just throws money at you instead. When I looked at my item box I realised I had lost 2/3 of it! Sure I got a bit of money but alll my gear (apart from some rags which suck) are gone. And you get very basic weapons... So in conclusion it's like starting alll over again but with a ton of money.
I was reallly looking forward to this but I just cant see the major difference. The GUI is the same but just a tiny bit higher quality, also I hoped that the annoying loading times would shorten but no. If anything they are a bit longer...
Ok, so basicallly if you don't have MHF1 by alll means buy this. If you have the original stick with it unless you want to restart.
Best game on the PSP so far! - By: M. A. Hibberd, 25 Sep 2007
This is, quite simply put, the best, most innovative & addictive game yet released on the PSP. Lord only knows how much time I've spent playing it since purchasing it 2 weeks ago. A definite 'must have'.
