This is a great buy, quite cheap & the light matches the ps3 light perfectly.
I've had mine a while & have had no problems with it,was delivered very quickly aswell by Amazon.
makes the PS3 look reallly nice & also gives it a firm base to stop any chance of your precious baby being knocked over!!:)
Does this scratch/mark the PS3? - By: L. DAVIES, 28 Jun 2008
I have seen a YouTube video showing you that this device scratches/marks the PS3. Can someone please confirm this? Is there a protective strip on the stand that protects the gloss finish of the PS3?
Standtastic - By: Gaz, 19 Jun 2008
A lovely little stand, nice lights, extra usb ports ( I noticed some complaints about no cable, there is a cable tucked into the bottom of the stand...very useful) & stops my Dog knocking it over...you lose a port on the console but the way the 2 are positioned at the back of the stand it keeps everything a little neater, you can leave your PS3Eye & charging cable connected & hide those cables much easier...well in my set up you can anyway :-)
Fits in Perfectly!! - By: Ben, 05 Jun 2008
I could not imagine seeing a PS3 by itself without this stand, it would just look weird! it fits in perfectly with the console & the blue lights around the side just gives the appearance more depth.
Definitely recommended to everyone, even if you don't have a PS3 just get one anyway, at this price you can't go wrong!!
Fantastic piece of plastic - By: Towelie, 17 May 2008
There is so many reasons to get this & here are a few.
1. standing your ps3 upways(ie using this stand) alllows better air circulation meaning it can operate without heating up as much as sideways alllowing for a longer life span for your ps3.
2. standing the ps3 without this stand is not the most stable of units, the large rubber grip pads at the bottom of the stand mean it will not slide & wider base means alot more stability.
3. USB hub, for some unknown reason Sony decided that the ps3 didn't need usb ports at the back of the PS3. this device trades one of the front ports into 2 rear ports. This is especiallly useful if you have a charging dock for your controller & not wanting cables cluttering the front of the ps3.
With the USB hub is intending for low power USB devices as said in the manual with the stand, however it says that it is intended for devices that use a total of 500mA or less. a SixaxiS controller takes 30mA so a dual controller charging dock takes 60mA this still leaves an almighty 440mA more than enough for the upcoming Play TV. (hard drives that use an external power source ie mains run on low power as they only transfer data not to power the hard drive) keyboards/usb sticks can easily be run in this amount.
also it looks great
