Why no volume control?? - By: M. Carter, 16 Jul 2008
I bought this a couple of days after purchasing a PSP3. While it has some great functions & is very user-friendly, there is one MAJOR problem, you have to reach for the TV/DVD control to adjust the volume... Why? Surely the technology (seemingly very simple technology at that) is there to add a simple volume adjuster to this device??

For that reason I would only give this a modest 3 out of 5.

Come on Sony, DO BETTER!!
Cannot fault it (apart from one) - By: B. P. Gardiner, 09 Jul 2008
A pleasantly robust, strong piece of kit which does everything you would want it to do well. My only (slight) annoyance is that it takes two AA batteries. Rechargable would have been nice but it does take a very long time to use them up.
Also, I challlenge anyone to a cage match on calll of duty 4 using only the remote which has most of the sixaxis' abilities. My PSN is 'binty'

PS3 Sony Blu-ray Disc Remote Control - By: Mr. Mark P. Williams, 13 May 2008
A Bluetooth remote control for the Sony PS3.

Personallly, I don't why there has been criticism of the remote being via Bluetooth & that it has to be paired with the console; the fact it doesn't need to be 'pointed' directly at the console means the PS3 can be hidden away & yet remain operable; plus it takes alll of one minute to pair up the remote with the PS3.

The remote itself is well built & has the requisite amount of buttons you'd find on most DVD remote controls, in my opinion it certainly doesn't have too many buttons; it also doubles up as an additional controller should the need arise.

The only negative comment I'd make is that it doesn't have a one touch 'off' button to put the console into standby mode.

Nonetheless, I recommend this as a worthwhile purchase for the PS3 & good value for money.
Does what it's meant to do! - By: RoboScorpion, 24 Apr 2008
Great - & pretty much essential kit if you use your PS3 for watching lots of DVD/Blu-Ray discs.

I like the solid, tactile feel to it - matches the PS3's quality nicely.

OK, so it hasn't got a light, & it needs pairing with your PS3 - so what? It's less than 20 quid & does exactly what it's supposed to do!
