this is easily 1 of the best games out, if not the best, i think it just edges cod4 which was the ultimate game. No MORE FREEZING!!!! JUST BEEN AN UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't mean to sound negative but in some ways I hoped for more of a difference between this & previous gta games. Sure there are a few gameplay enhancements & cosmeticallly it is far superior but it is still a classic GTA game, & with that it feels a little too familiar. Anyway criticism over. It is classic GTA with polished looks & some refinements. The humour is still present, the twisted slant on good & bad that make daily mail types rant when the message actuallly being put across is something like, drink driving is retarded. For example when you have been drinking you can scarcely control your character & driving is near impossible, an accurate portrayal of real life.
For me the biggest improvement is the driving, it is much harder to tear around at 100 mph alll the time, so there is more encouragement tyo drive sensibly. So there you are driving slowly behind some idiot that wont go when lights change. It real life you would blast your horn here you can run **** off the road, & unleash your pent up frustration, which much of the appeal of the gta games has always been.
game of the year?... - By: M. Edwards, 08 May 2008 this is by far the best game that has come out on the ps3 so far. They have maximised what the ps3 can do, online play can be up to 16players,
the city is much larger than previous gta titles, i suggest u get in a helicopter & head for sky, admire the view & the size of the city then come back at night & do it alll again!
the use of the mobile phone is superb,when u enter multiplayer mode u can send messages to ur firends to invite them to join your game & in the game u can calll your friends via the mobile (headset needed), & much more...
the only game that cold be better than this is Metal Gear Solid 4???...
Welcome back to Liberty - By: Mr Jones, 08 May 2008 GTA VI is a benchmark title. The game oozes genuine style & quality in every aspect of its World. When I play this game I realise that I am involved in an experience that is truly worthy of the tag 'NEXT GEN'. Its the best £40 I have ever spent on a game. Because lets face it...you only have to meet the characters, listen to the dialogue & then it alll becomes clear that its not only a game its a rich movie experience that just happens to put a few Hollywood guys to shame.
Christ!! I think I'm addicted but that doesnt matter...just as long as I dont forget to pick Little Jacob up for a few drinks & take Roman to the strip club...so much to do....so little time.
Buy this game. Get rid of your loved ones. Lock your doors & get your asses into Liberty.
Great Game! - By: C. Dear, 07 May 2008 Having owned both the PS3 & 360 versions my final choice lies with the PS3. Fist of alll i think that Sony's controller suits GTA better, especiallly for the driving. The 360 version does suffer from a slight framerate issue & the odd pop-in as well as slower loading times. But to be honest which ever console you own this game on you'll have a fantastic experiance playing it. The physics in the game are great, the graphics are stunning, Liberty City has never looked better on a console. The story line is absolutley great, possibly the best story line in any GTA game to date. There are loads of new features in the game & things to do, e.g. bowling, snooker, internet, new cover system & you can intereact with almost any object within the game. Overalll it is deffinatley the game worth owning a PS3 for. Online play is fantastic, Rockstar have done a reallly good job with the online modes & online service.
