One word to desribe this game: !!!!AMAZING!!!
The graphics is the example of next generation gaming. The best examples of graphics is the sky & transition of lighting, you can't beat it. But what makes this game stand out is its level of detail. Books upon books that is full of detail which people unfortunallly never read. The world is extremly detailed, no part of a wood looks the same, & always unique. But what makes this different from other games is that alll the conversations is fully spoken, not just text scrolling across the bottom. This is rare in these types of games & it is done exceptionallly. The lip-syncing in this game is the BEST i have ever seen! And did you know that half of the data on the disk is sound?
I have had this game since it came out & i still play it at least every week, & this is rare for a video game.
There is so much to do, you will never get bored of this game. When you think the game is 'finished' you are wrong. After the main quest there are mini quests, items to colledct, explore the HUGE map, & countless other stuff to do (thats why I still play it). This game is amazing & it will be hard for The Elder Scrolls V to top it. Good work Bethesda
The only downside is the loading times, but this can be reduced by holding the 'a' button on startup.

say good by to your free time - By: the one sober(ish) scot, 27 Apr 2008 alll i will say about this game is that it is very VERY deep one of my friends (my 360 broke) has spent over fifty hours on the game & still does not have alll the achevements & he ahs spent fifty hours on it.
VERY VERY ADDICTIVE!!!!!! - By: Mark Blake, 10 Mar 2008 this is one of the first titles i got for my xbox 360, had it for about a week now & ive been wanting to get most of the top titles. but i doubt thats going to happen for a good while....maybe a year or so.
this game is just packed with alot of things to do. you could spend hours just exploring the map, which has amazing visuals, seriously, go hang out by the lake at sunset (in the game...) & see for yourself. looks so real. yes it does have to load up the map as you go along but if you look past youll see just how well presented the visuals are. go hang out around ruins & find caves. the map has alot to offer & youll be going around for hours, unless you just get a horse.
the gameplay has alot of detail, you can be part of a race (elf, ork etc) which alll have their own special abilities & attributes. choose your own special abilities & fighting styles. the combat system is tricky but you do get a tutorial at the start. use alll sorts of weapons to either slay or smash the enemy, become an alchemist & create potions & poisons & interact with everyone in the enviroment which have amazing AI. you can join many groups callled "guilds". be part of the good guys (fighters) or mages guild. alll of them can help boost up your characters attributes.
there is so much to say about this game.too much. if you are a loner, cant pull a girl ever, hate the outdoors or just have no social life whatsoever then i recommend this title. if you aint any of what i mentioned, still buy this game. your 360 needs it!!!

Now I'm not usuallly one for a game that takes it's time to get going, where you have to work your way & reallly develop your character to do anything of any significance. But for some reason I find this fantasticallly enjoyable & challlenging.
I don't think this is a game where you can pick it up for 20 minuntes at a time - reason being that you become immersed in the Elder Scrolls.
A must buy for anyone - not just certain types of gamers (I usuallly get stuck in to sports games for example).

....LOVE IT!!! - By: Alex Lee, 03 Feb 2008 This game is reallly reallly fun & not at alll stressful (you can change the difficulty level). You can save then go rampage through towns on a killing spree & then reload again. You don't have to spend hours levelling up a character just to get past a point (although it helps if you want cooler armour) because the enemies are level based.
The possibilities of the game are endless. You can basicallly do whatever you want, whenever you want. You can also customize yourself. The gameplay itself is easy & fun with an excellent tutorial basicallly describing the game. (A little help from the manual would help for deciding race etc.) You can choose to do the missions or not to do the missions. You can join clans or factions or just wreak havoc in the city. If you like RPGs then this is the game for you (especiallly if you're a Fable fan)
