A bit too long - By: B. Allen, 25 Oct 2006
Basicallly this game is good until you realise fishings the best way too get money. As cows take about a year & a half to be old enough 2 have a calf then birth it for milk, sheeps give u about 600 quid a month & chickens give u about 40 quid an egg. The crops are about 11 quid more than the seed so you'd have 2 buy loads just 2 gain money which takes loads of time, & the days are too long. Good game for farmers or harvest moon fans
Is It just me or is this game a modern day tragedy? - By: Nicholas W. De Sidley, 19 Jul 2006
Seeing as the gamecube has very few RPG's, I decided to buy Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life hoping that it would be a good investment for my summer holiday. That was the biggest mistake I have made in my whole life. This game is a tragedy, has to be one of the most boring & suicidal games in history. Your character looks about seven & gets married to a girl who looks about five. Hmmm... Something wrong there. Alright, the graphics are good but the gameplay is atrocious. The person who created this game should be packed in a briefcase & hurled into the Atlantic Ocean. For the first couple of hours, I was entertained but after that I decided to put the game away & never see it again. For diehard Harvest moon fans, buy this game if you can find it cheap but for the rest of us, save your money & buy Baten Kaitos or Tales of Symphonia instead as they are two great RPG's.

Harvest Moon - By: A. Bealby, 23 Jun 2005
I've had this game for about a year & utterley love it. It's so catchy & easy to play.
The only down side is that it's a little slow to get going & it does take about a year in game time to make some real money.
However once l started making some cash l began reallly raking it in.
This game is not for the intense gamer. It's addictive but not as addictive as other games l've played.
Down on the farm - By: , 17 Jun 2005
I thought that this would be the kind of game I would love. I prefer the 'thinking' type games - things like Championship Manager as somebody mentioned.
However, even I found that Harvest Moon got a bit repetative & slow going. On the one hand, its kind of satisfying to see that your crops have grown or that your animals are happy. On the other, it can get very boring. To plant a field of crops, you have to rake each individual square of the field, plant each individual square of the field, & water each individual square of the field. It takes a long time, & even longer for things to grow & then be ready to sell.
Maybe I missed something, but not having the luxury of a link up to the Gameboy version meant I found that after a while there was little to do. PLanting & watering only kept me interested for so long. It was fun at first, but the game hasn't been played for a while.
