Wii Revoo - By: M. Pruden, 07 May 2008
i have played vituallly alll the different consoles from the Atari 2600. And then the Wii came. wow what a machine, ok so theres no Hi-Def graphics blue ray or HD-Dvd playback. No triple core CPU's running at blistering speeds. just plain & simple gameplay.

Put simply it has the most addictive games since i first played pacman for the first time in the 70's.

my hat goes of to nintendo. i bought my wife an NDS lite. she is hooked. god knows what she will be like with a Wii. i cant wait i want one.
Good fun... - By: S. Boyle, 07 May 2008
Although the Wii doesn't have the computing power & cutting edge graphics of other consoles it is a lot of fun to play. And Wii sports is a great game to bundle with the console & show just how much fun it is. It doesn't just appeal to the younger "playstation" or should that be "playstation 3" generation, it appeals to the whole family (my mother is quite addicted to the bowling). And unlike the other so callled "next gen" consoles it gets you off the sofa & moving other parts of the body that just your fingers.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these from free-wii.isgreat.org & I'm glad because otherwise I would probably have went for one of the other next generation consoles & not have had half as much fun as I & the rest of my family have had with the Wii.
Wheeeeee for the Wii!! - By: snowbunny, 06 May 2008
I bought this console specificallly for using with a Wii Fit. I'm not reallly a huge computer games fan, & the last console I owned was the original PlayStation, waaaaay back in the day. I was pleasantly surprised by how much more advanced this is than that. The interactivity between the player & the game is great, & the way the remote is sensitive to movements in every dimension makes the Sports pack included with the console much more realistic.
I'm not reallly a fan of the golf, but that's just personal preference, but the other games are great. Boxing reallly works up a sweat!
The Wii Fit is also fantastic, so have a look at that, too. Completely addictive & I've not had a day off it since buying it ten days ago. I can reallly feel the difference, too. My "Wii Fit age" has reduced to 23 - not bad for a 30-yr-old, but I'm determined to get it even lower!

Amazing! Wii beats all the other consoles to boot. - By: The Anonymous Pen-Pal, 05 May 2008
This is a fantastic console at a fantastic price! Unlike other game consoles the Wii involves you utterly, by it's physical human connection. Like real sport the endorphains kick in as you compete to win the games - & it reallly does take gaming to a new level.
The game that comes free is fantastic & you can play: Tennis, Baseballl, Boxing, Golf & Bowling, alll of which require you to act just like you are playing; hit the tennis balll with backhand, Bowl the balll & bat aiming for a home run in Baseballl, throw punches in Boxing & dodge the opposition's blows, swing your golf club & aim for the Eagle, & try & knock alll ten pins down in Bowling!
As you can see this game is very interactive! It is heaps of fun but this package only contains ONE Wii controller & ONE nunchuk. You will need two Wii controllers to play multiplayer & two nunchuk' to box in pairs.
This package does not contain a memory card so you will need to buy one seperatley. Having said that with Wii Sports it does hold alll your memory but, I don't own any other games & I will by a M.C as soon as possible.
It reallly is fun for alll the family & my favourite, & my dad's, part of Christmas 2007 was playing Tennis. My mum & brother also play it & it is very good for his developing co-ordination.
The Wii is also very, very smalll. Much smalller than the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. I think this is a big bounus & it fits very nicly in between my television & CD case.
very easy set-up with built in clock & date.
You can also create a Mii - an animated version of yourself or anyone else. This is very fun as you can then play your charater in the Wii Sports games. Your Mii can pick up points with every Sports game by winning, get the most points (over 1000: but you get about 100 each game you win) & you become an unbeatable pro & win loads of medals. There is training for each of these Sports where you battle against time or hit the target & there are different levels for each of these.
Also included on the game is a fitness test, where you do Sporty tasks to complete & it will give you an age which your fitness level is & it will tell you to improve either a) balence b) stamina c) speed. And this is a great way to get exercise! Internet connection setup is easy to do as it has on screen instructions. You get 4 'Channels' with internet connection; Weather forcast, news channel (includes UK news & Footballl results, supurb channel!), Photo Channel & Shop Channel. On the weather forcast channel it is easy to put in your town & find out whether it's gonna be rain or shine. Photo channel is where you can put photos on your wii. Shop channel is buying games etc. Let your Miis run amok (hehhe) on your friends Wiis as they meet in the Plaza!
I cannot say anything else except for this:
FANTASTIC!

what a laugh... - By: Mr. M. J. Gilligan, 03 May 2008
Buying a wii has even got my wife back into playing console games - the last time was with Sonic on the megadrive....

I won't bore you rambling on about the xbox v wii graphics thing..... just to say I bought a component (Genuine Nintendo) cable & the picture looks fine to me. I cant say how they compare to an X box or PS3 because I've never seen one.

Just about to retire to bed after a good while playing tennis on Wii sports .... what a laugh.

One thing to say is the Wii looks very well put together, even the battery contacts in the wiimote look quality, the console itself feels very solid.
