The game is set in episodes from the tv series where you battle, or more, move the beyblade around a course collecting new items to add to your collection. It is basicallly staring at a point then along your way you collect the items & battle enemy beyblades & beat them by either bashing them until they lose their spin, or simply pushing them off the edge of the platform.
There are seven episodes, which have seven rounds to battle through & an extra bonus round at the end of each episode, which you can get by beating the round times. In each episode there is a boss battle, where you simply have to beat the enemy beyblade & not move around the twisting platforms as in other rounds. The first few episodes let you learn the basic moves, which was quite helpful. Further rounds get harder as the platforms get thinner & there are more twists & turns, making it harder to control the beyblade.
This game also has a Multiplayer mode, where you can connect to other GBAs & use the beyblades you have collected to battle your friend who also has the game. Also there is a beyblade workshop & collection, to see the stats of the beyblades you have collected.
The downers of this game are that it seems more than a puzzle game, rather than a normal beyblade game where you fight in the beystadium. This may appeal to some, but not me. You can use your bitbeast’s special attack when your charge up, however it does not show the bit beast in action, just a gust of wind for Dragoon coming out from the beyblade. If you are a hardcore beyblader who loves collecting the different parts, or wants to play a different type of beyblade game, this is for you. Others who hate puzzle games & get frustrated easily; maybe you should consider a different game. It’s not a must have game, but it is a good game overalll.
