The latest superhero adventure spans present day Earth to the epic realm of Asgard, the home of the Norse Gods. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is banished from Asgard by his father and ruler of the realm Odin (Anthony Hopkins) due to an arrogant act that leads to war with the Frost Giants. Thor lands in present day earth stripped of his powers and on the way to regaining his powers finds love in the form of beautiful scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman). Thor learns what it takes to become a true hero as his new found strength on Earth helps defend the planet and the universe against the dark forces sent from his homeland by his evil brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
