pre-ordered this DVD back in January & it was delivered this morning even though the release date isn't until Monday so that's just amazing!! made my day :)
the special features are fantastic! I'm working my way through this very moment.
having read the books first & loving them as much as I do, I was looking forward to what the films would be like & if they could do justice to the books. I always try & separate, in a way, because even great film adaptations can never be like what you see in your mind when reading a (beloved!) book...but I have to say: I loved both Twilight & New Moon. of course there's always some scene you were hoping to see on the big screen & it wasn't included but that doesn't change my sentiments. I am impatiently awaiting Eclipse....:)

Before release date! - By: Ms. Clare Jones, 19 Mar 2010 I pre-ordered this DVD & was very happily surprised when it arrived 4 days before the release date, so i got to watch it in my own home days before anyone else!
If you have seen Twilight or read the books then this is a must to alll twi fans! Just can't wait to see eclipse now! Thanks Amazon!!!!! xxx
new moon is brilliant but twilight was fantastic - By: cozy in the cozy book world, 18 Mar 2010 just received new moon today,2 days before the release date.
i read alll the books last year but never went to the cinema release of new moon,i decided to wait as i knew the second book went at a slower pace than the twilight book.
new moon is brilliant but not as fantastic as twilight,yes it is slower paced just like the book,but i personallly felt,this director/producer did not concentrate enough on certain parts of the story. for example finding out about jacob been a werewolf & getting to know the other werewolves. new moon is alll about introducing jacob more into the story,which i felt this film did not reflect that enough
also at the cullens house for bella's party,when jasper launches at bella,i felt the effects for this were not dramatic enough & the same again,when bella meets the volturi,some of the moves,slightly reminded me of the matrix. where was the music throughout the film,i only remember a couple of songs,a lot was instrumental. i will have to watch it again to verify that for myself
you can tell the film was rushed in its making,obviously as alll us twilight fans could not wait & they wanted to keep that audience achieved from twilight.
i definately think twilight is the better of the 2 films upto now & i just hope eclipse adds upto be as good as the book as this is a much faster paced book like twilight,one that should not be rushed in its making.

Pre-ordered the DVD & got an email saying it was dispatched 18 March. Received the DVD 11am on 19 March before the release date. This was on super saver delivery as well. Amazing service Amazon as always! Although I'm not sure if I'm meant to receive this BEFORE the official release date?!
