Non descript - By: Flint, 22 Feb 2010
Not as good a film as I thought it was going to be. Would have been better buying the standard dvd than Blu-ray as the film is pretty non descript.
Somewhat unsatisfying - By: PJ Rankine, 16 Feb 2010
I have read the original book & the film is very true to it, thankfully with 'The Tales of the Black Freighter' taken out. The advantage the book has is that you can put it down & come back to it because this is a complicated & multi-layered story. Sadly with most blu-ray players lacking the 'resume' feature of dvds you can't reallly do that with this film & at two & half hours this is a long haul. Don't get me wrong, the film needs to be that long to encompass the story but it was a hard slog. None of the characters inspire any sympathy although Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre is very pleasant on the eyes. Overalll I found the whole experience a little unsatisfying in terms of entertainment. The print was excellent & presented in letter box format & the audio track only seemed to shine when the Nite Owl's flying machine was on screen which was a little suprising considering the amount of shooting & explosions going on.
Excelente filme! - By: Altamiro S. N. Junior, 04 Feb 2010
Excelente filme, mas com o final diferente em relação à história original dos quadrinhos! O que causou muuuuuita polêmica entre os fãs!
Persevere - you'll be glad you did - By: Lorraine Sears, 29 Dec 2009
We got this movie as blue-ray, the first to be watched on out new blue-ray payer because we thought from the clips we had seen it would be a good film to see in the ultimate HD.

I will completely honest neither me or my husband knew much about the movie or knew the comic books. And we spent about the first 20 minutes of what is a 162 minute movie completely lost, even though we were concentrating hard to keep up with where the story was going. On reflection this was because the the history of the characters was being compressed at the same time as the events that shape the rest of the story are being laid down for us.

But once the film starts to settle down & develop the plot at a more understandable speed, you realy start to pick up on the action & get a feel for the characters & what drives them.

As I said my husband & I reallly had no notion of what this film was about at alll. And to be honest it wasn't long in to it before we were talking about not watching it through to the end. However, something kept us watching & we did see it alll & I am so pleased because it was a reallly enjoyable film that kept our attention & made us want to know what happened next.

It is quite gorey in places, but this no more so than the likes of Saw & certainly not as much of it. And it is alll done in a kind or dark humour that made it easier to witness.

Not sure when I'll watch the film again - as I don't often have 162 minutes to spare in one go. But I'm glad we bought it & I will make the time to watch it again in the future.
ok - By: S. P. Morris, 24 Dec 2009
film itself is average & lacks something that other 'Marvel' super hero films have ....Blu ray gives it a bit of a boost & watching in 1080p is pure quality.
