Just beautiful - By: Mrs. L. Thorpe, 17 Mar 2010
One of the best films I've seen in a long time. The acting was amazing & the costumes & set absolutely beautiful. We alll know Victoria mourned her Albert when he died & never reallly got over losing him. This showed the Victoria we don't know the passionate girl who had to find respect as Queen when some people thought she was too young for the responsibility. It is a beautiful film & one you can just lose yourself in.
Loved it. - By: Megan Aston, 12 Mar 2010
I was a bit dubious about this film as I've not watched many Emily Blunt or Rupert Friend films, but I have to say that I loved this. The settings, scenery & costumes were great & the script wonderful. I am quite a fan of Period Drama & this certainly does not disappoint. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in this genre or the history of Queen Victoria. A beautiful film, beautifully done.

I have purchased this as a Mothers Day present, it came very quickly & looks well presented, obviously I have yet to ensure it is a good DVD & watchable.
Best Movie I've Seen In A While! - By: Jennifer Trejo, 11 Feb 2010
I am a Big History nerd & when movies like this come out I rush to see them & this was no disappointment. The love story is wonderful & some facts maybe a bit off but the story is pretty true.Like alll the movies I've seen this one I can't get enough off.I live in Texas so when I went to see it the same night I came home & ordered it from here waited 2 whole weeks ( I couldn't wait to have it) & to be honest I have probably watched it more than 20 times. I even catch myself quoting some lines from the movie!Like I said loved it & also I loved how Rupert Friend portrayed Prince Albert he is wonderful.I recommend Cheri, he is in this great film. And Emily Blunt is superb as Queen Victoria!A definite must have for a history nut or romance gal!:)
Review of "Young Victoria" - By: Mr. Philip Gardner, 10 Feb 2010
"Young Victoria" is a credible & unsentimental treatment of the early years of Queen Victoria. It should prove worthwhile viewing for anyone interested in her life-story, as well as for someone genuinely concerned with and/or well-informed about early 19th Century British history. The characters are realisticallly portrayed, & the re-creation of female fashions for this period can give much pleasure to anyone interested in this aspect of the early years of her reign. It also brings out the fact that, unlike her later reputation, Victoria was feisty young woman, who found genuine love & happiness in an arranged marriage.
