I bought this because I liked the previous film so much & because I have now a Blu-ray home cinema system, I was not dissapointed, however I am not sure it's as goof as Daniel Craig's first outing as 007. Good enough though to enjoy.

As a fan of alll the James Bond films since I was a kid (I have my dad to thank for that) I was expecting great things from this movie, a follow on from the excellent Casino Royale.
Although "Quantum of Solace" is a very good action thriller, for me it never quite reaches the heights of "Casino Royale," some very enjoyable moments are present but the overalll lasting impression is that something is missing.
Perhaps it's the shorter run time making the movie feel just a little rushed; I especiallly disliked the airplane chase scene followed by the falll which borders on the ridiculous to be honest.
That said however, the pre credits sequence is probably one of the best of any bond movie & other action scenes develop into strong thrills & spills.
Expect the usual array of trailers, cast interviews & behind the scenes footage on the Blu-ray, overalll "Quantum of Solace" is a decent film for Daniel Craig in his second outing as James Bond.
One final thing, I don't know whether it's just me but the subtitles are set to "on" by default when you first insert the disc, quite why that is I don't know, I was somewhat puzzled when I pressed play for the first time & I had alll that text at the bottom of the screen!
Quantum leap? Not quite. - By: D. Hunt, 02 Mar 2010 This latest 'Bond Film' contains most of the ususal 007 ingredients of action ,suttle violence & a far darker Bond than last time. Each time they change the Bond actor the films seem to change content to suit the nature of the actor.
The storyline is good but the film gathered mixed reviews which mainly praised Craig's gritty performance & the film's action sequences while feeling that Quantum of Solace was not as impressive as the predecessor Casino Royale. It is also the second highest grossing James Bond film, without adjusting for inflation, making $586,090,727 worldwide, while becoming one of the highest grossing Bond films domesticallly. I enjoyed it but you need to see it to make your own mind up. the purchase of this film is better idea rather than rental due to eceptionallly good prices to be found.

No way round it - this is a very poor film but not in an ironic way like some of the earlier Bonds. Just pretentious, bad & dull. Hopefully they will pull it back with the next.
Newest Bond movie - By: K.C., 10 Feb 2010 This is the first "follow on " film in the Bond series. I wasn't sure it would work, but it was a fantastic movie & you could easily watch it without having watched the previous one
