Series 6 and series 7 link - By: G. Malpass, 16 Feb 2010
This film gives you a lead into series 7, that is, Jack's state of mind, new characters etc. Obviously not quite as exciting as a complete series, but as a 24 fan I appreciate any extra tidbits.
Hooked again - By: Richard Thorpe, 12 Feb 2010
This is a tasty interval between series 6 & 7. It also includes a tantalising introduction to series 7.

Just have to wait now until it drops into my price bracket.
A costly mistake - By: M. Morgan, 22 Jan 2010
The mistake was to not record this on Sky+ when it was on - the costly is because for a single episode this is a lot of money.

Still it joins into series 7 & without watching it you'll miss a few links if you then catch up on series 7, so you sort of can't do without it.
24 series - By: Friends fan, 02 Jan 2010
Missed this on tv but saw DVDs advertised.

Thought it looked like something we would like, so bought it from Amazon. Best price ever. It's a brilliant series. We have not watched it alll yet, or the film that came between 5 & 6, but we are well into the series & are loving it.

The type of thing you can watch again & again as there is always something you will have missed the first time around, as it reallly is action packed.
Disappointing Sentimental Hooey - By: E. Smith, 12 Dec 2009
I'm 24's biggest fan, & think it's the greatest example of written & visual entertainment since Homer, but this is just Jack-lite. When I heard children were involved, I just knew it would probably be sentimental claptrap, & unfortunately that's the way it turned out for me.

To me, the African bits were pure cliché - big-eyed kids playing footballl in the dirt, nasty mercenaries & the Saigon evac at the end. It was only when Washington came into it that we got back to the 24 of old, with scheming power-brokers aplenty & the odd murder for good measure.

Jack seemed far too low-key, only killing a handful of people in fairly unspectacular ways, & the relationship with the dodgy-Irish-accented Robert Carlisle was yet more sentimental hooey. There was even the usual unpleasant, unhelpful, play-it-by-the-rules embassy official to rub in how unoriginal this was.

I'd imagine that this is just a vehicle to get Jack back to the US for some real action in Season 7. Bring it on - I can't wait.

Again, I love 24 with a passion, but how alll these fans can say it's as good as the proper series is beyond me.
