Great comedy - By: S. Maguire, 14 Feb 2010
I had some of the Frasier series but I have now bought the remaining ones, the service from Amazon was excellent. As with alll long running comedy series, individual choice will mean everybody will have favourite episodes. The standard of Frasier is in my opinion so consistently good that I find nothing to dislike with any of them.
The old Frasier is back! - By: BOD, 16 Nov 2009
Having been disappointed with Season 4 -although it improved towards the end- I was cautious about buying Season 5 but this series was funny from beginning to end. It was the old Frasier. The humour was clever & funny. He was as self-obsessed as ever & Roz's life took an interesting turn. The tension between Niles & Daphne is heightened. Overalll, if you liked the previous series, this one won't disappoint. When I watched the last episode last night I couldn't help feeling that I was going to miss Fraiser & alll the gang.
For those of you interested, this DVD also has subtitles which we need in our home. It would be great if people could always include this information in their reviews as a DVD can be useless to some of us unless it has subtitles.
frasier ongoing - By: J. Mcgowan, 18 Sep 2009
Buying up this series as price fallls on individual series. The comedy becomes more strained & uncomfortable in series six but this series five maintains the clever, well thought out snappy punch lines & story lines which have been present since series one. Great escapism & stress relieving viewing.
A true classic - By: Ian Philip, 11 Jul 2009
Sometimes the humour is slapstick, & the situations unlikely -- sometimes the issues are quite serious but the one-liners keep the laughs coming. Brilliant writing, brilliant performances - you can watch them over & over again.
Classic - By: Alder, 11 Jun 2009
Watching this as I type, as it happens...and chuckling.
Frasier is one of my alll-time favourite comedies, but the 'middle' years are perhaps the best. The writers & actors were more familiar with the characters, & the witty dialogue sparkles. The show might be callled 'Frasier', but it has a strong ensemble cast, with David Hyde Pierce as Niles being perhaps my favourite. Well worth watching.
