I love Frasier. The writing took a dip about series seven, but was back on par there after. Series 10 is brilliantly fun & very clever with the humour. Frasier - Series 10 [DVD]
I laughed and laughed - By: Cool Noggins, 15 May 2009 I simply laughed my way through these classic sit-coms. Grammer is such a physical & total actor. The cast is superb. The writers should be praised for the convoluted & clever scripts.

Having taken fright at some of the reviews of post wedding Frasier, I skipped two seasons to the point where many have said the series returned to form. Unfortunately, I suspect wishful thinking: Series 10 is good but only two or three episodes honestly approach the wit & humour of earlier years. I'm not unhappy with my purchase but Series 7 & the wedding would have been a happier place to have drawn a line in the sand.

All American TV shows play beyond their natural lifespan, eventuallly leaving viewers praying for the sudden death of a character they once adored. We should be grateful that Frasier lasted as long as it did, & that it ralllied in the final year. However, there was reallly no excuse for the sheer awfulness of the Ninth & Tenth seasons.
I can't fathom the five-star ratings given to this lamentable year in the show's life. If daphne's loathsome family weren't bad enough, the introduction of the unbearable Julia & Frasier's inexplicable pursuit of her defy credibility. It's instructive to return to any of the first five seasons of Frasier, where you will encounter a brilliantly written, fabulously witty & intelligent, superbly acted sitcom. Make no mistake: Frasier was the greatest sitcom on TV.
However, alll US shows die-the-death & Frasier was no exception. Please, avoid this stinker box-set & if you're wise, look no further than the seventh season. Seasons 1-5 have no equal & that's more than enough for anybody.

DVD did arrive on time by 24 December & so just saved any embarrassment but the time delay did cause some worrying moments. However well done Amazon, you saved the day!
No complaints from recipient of present.
