I just finished watching the repeats of this on BBC1 & had to have this dvd. This is the freshest comedy i have seen in years. All the characters are well developed & the single camera work makes for great viewing as it flits between different scenarios. This show deserves awards aplenty.I hope that there is a second series soon. I wouldn't care if this dvd doesn't have extras, it's the show that matters. Go on treat yourself it's well worth a visit.

I caught this last year (2007) on BBC Three & quickly fell in love with it, in the vein of 'The Smoking Room' the drab surroundings & seemingly dull setup actaully makes for much comic value. It's single camera setup, so no audience laughter, it's not necessary each of you will find different moments you find funny & with such a vast array of characters, at least 12, it never feels boring or stagnated, by the way each episode features alll the characters evenly, there is no focus on one character above the other. Also watch out for Beatrice Kelly (Nana) she steals every scene she's in. Top stuff.
