The only thing that came out of this movie for me, was the fact that I reallly must read reviews, etc.. before I choose a film to watch!
I never liked this film at alll. All I kept saying to myself the whole way through was 'why?'. The film reallly had no content & it did nothing for me, except make me wish I had never bought it.
This is just my opinion. However, if you are concidering buying this movie, please don't waste the extra money buying it on blu-ray. Buy it on DVD, as the visuals were reallly not impressive at alll.
Personallly, I would have given this movie a half a star rather than a 1 star, but I am unable to. And, I reallly cannot see how people would like this. Overalll, very disappointing.

I've heard great reviews of this film in terms of audio & picture quality & yes it is amazing, the whole film is a bass filled, room shaking experience, highly..higly recommended

Don't believe the naysayers, this film reallly works.
I saw it twice in the cinema. The beginning is slow but this is reallly to introduce the characters. Once the first 20 mins is over with, BANG! you are left in no doubt that humanity is on the backfoot. I love the fact there's no build up to the monster or back story (unless you've been following the viral marketing), & brief glimpses of the creature only serve to heighten the tension.
Hud's character is brilliant, a welcome relief to the continual onslaught on screen. There is one particular scene just before they reach the subway which will reallly test your sound system, I defy you not to be amazed at this point in particular.
Ok, so it's a handheld cam viewpoint.
Ok, so the actors are not famous.
Who cares ? You are firmly put in the centre of the action & drama.
It's a sci-fi film, it's not real, & doesn't pretend to be anything other than a monster film. But it's damned good at it & moviemakers should start taking notes in what makes a genre work.
Buy it, turn the lights out, crank up the volume, & don't forget to breath.....
oh so bad! - By: Graham Barton, 12 Jun 2008 This is one of the alll time anoying & bad films,its not worth dvd let alone bluray,try "the host" its a great film, this is a blair witch type of film & lets face it that was bad to! lots of hand held shaking about low def,pic's trying to look like some one with a video cam mainly not shooting at the monster,Ive asked alll my movie going friends & thay alll hate it to.
