Good material, but wrong language details - By: charlotte, 21 Jun 2008
Why do they get it wrong so often: Bought it, because it promised German soundtrack, the print on the DVD itself (Temple of Doom) show alll the age limits: English, Irish, German, Spanish & a RED ONE (Italian ?), returned it - of course
Still no DTS? - By: Zuma172, 17 Jun 2008
Why on earth does neither this trilogy or the Star Wars one (even the newer ones come to think of it) have DTS soundtracks when that technology was helped into development by Spielberg & Lucas? After alll Spielberg's Duel & Jaws have that on the DVD so it can't be a case of not being able to retrofit it to an older movie. Mhhm?
Still 3 x Great Films - But Pointless IF You Bought The 4 Disc Set Already... - By: Adam Jackson, 27 May 2008
The original trilogy alll together in a new box set - however MINUS the 4th, stand alone, special features Bonus DVD! Basicallly, the special features are spread out over the 3 discs this time & don't appear to add anything reallly new.
I have the (2003) 4 disc set & if you already have that, there looks little reason to buy this (the films are not any longer & do not have any extra scenes etc). The packaging is reallly good on the 4 disc edition & is much better than when I looked at this set the other day in Tesco! If you own neither box set, my advice may be to hunt for the 4 discs....
3 x Great movies; Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981) - still the best! Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom (1984) - dark & moody! & Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade (1989) - closer in tone to the first film but perhaps slightly too comedic??
Great plots, memorable characters, fantastic action setpieces (some of the very best gun fights, fist fights & car chases ever filmed), stunning locations, stunning cinematography/editing & some truly awesome visual effects ( All 3 movies have supernatural elements, most prevalent in Raiders Of The Lost Ark).
Also a stunning set of scores by genius film composer, John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, CE3K).
And alll this under the masterful direction of a Spielberg firing on ALL cylinders, & with a career defining performance from Harrison Ford that makes for one of the most engaging heroic characters ever created!
These are perfect films for alll generations, although it should be pointed out that Raiders & Temple Of Doom are quite bloody in places, with some farly violent scenes - for alll the old fashioned feel, there's no shortage of blood & bullets at times!
Absoluteley no sexual content or any bad language whatsoever, so safe for the grandkids (who alll love a bit of blood & guts!)
I've reviewed the new movie & I thought it was good, better than I expected!
5 STARS ARE FOR THE MOVIES THEMSELVES - up to you, if you want the 3 discs or 4.....

Perfect Entry for the New Indy - By: Ford Ka, 22 May 2008
This may not be the perfect choice for Indiana Jones afficionados but there is quite a few billion people around who never had the chance to see the movies before. These three film rank among the best adventure movies of the last half century (OK - they ARE the best ;) so don't think too long but grab at the opportunity to be reallly prepared for the last part of Indiana Jones' adventures.
You get a handful of new (and not so new) extra material thrown in but it is the movies that reallly matter. And they are so fresh & full of live that it is hard to believe it has been a while since Indiana Jones seemed to have retired for good.
NO GEEK ARGUMENTS HERE, THEY'RE GREAT! - By: JAKE'S MIX, 21 May 2008
WHATEVER IS SAID ABOUT ' OH THAT 2 SECONDS IS CUT' OR 'THERE IS 3.2 MINUSTES LESS EXTRA'S ON THIS VERSION.' WHO CARES? THEY ARE THREE ICONIC FILMS - THREE FILMS THAT I LOVED AS A KID, THREE FILMS THAT I HAVE NEVER GOT ROUND TO PURCHASING UNTIL NOW (THANKS FOR THEM BEING IN THE MEDIA AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE NEW FILM) AND THREE FILMS THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED NO MATTER WHAT THE POXY FORMAT! YOU NOT SEEN THEM, THEN BUY IT - YOU HAVE SEEN THEM AND YOU'RE A FAN LIKE ME THEN STILL BUY IT! WORTH EVERY PENNY, AWESOME FILMS.
