I do not normallly like musicals but 'Les Chansos d'Amour' is exceptional in that the story is very good, acting is superb & music is quite funky. I don't want to give anything away, so alll I say is that the movie is emotionallly challlanging & probably more intersting to young people. In France this movie has a 'cult' status similar to 'Rebel without a cause'.

It's no 'Umbrellas of Cherbourg' - but then even Les Demoiselles de Rochefort wasn't, but this is still reallly nice. I wasn't too sure about it at the beginning but it soon livens up.

Good fun!
