A Steel Box - It's Worth it! - By: Javier Torregrosa, 22 May 2008
I bought this because it would save me space. It's the size of a normal DVD box, feels great & looks slick.

The DVD's in themselve are great as everyone knows. A fourth? It might be in the pipeline but wasn't written by the guy who wrote the original books.

The story as it goes in brief if you haven't already discovered. Bourne is an agent for the US government. Sent to do a job which goes array. He losses his memory & from the beginning of the first film, Bourne tries to recalll who he is & tries to work out his memories.

The plot starts in the Med. & takes us on a rollercoaster of a ride. Visiting alll the big hitters in Europe. France, Germany, England to the USA for a grand finale.

It's just great.

Topics regularly pop up here & there, Bond or Bourne?

It's Bourne alll the way!

And if Holloywood wanted to do a rehash-up of a Bond Vs Bourne film. James would be dead before he could say Jason. It would end up being a trailer to nothing.

Just BUY it!
BUY THIS DVD COLLECTORS STEEL BOOK NOW!! - By: bourne to be wild, 04 Feb 2008
All i can say is that unlike any box sets ive seen, this is a fantastic steel book, very slimline has the 3 dvd's inside, compact stylish & has the cool steely appeal, that alll 3 films have themselves, i doubt Matt Damon will ever find a role that he plays any better than Jason Bourne, for me he is even better than james Bond, even beats the new fab daniel Craig, these 3 films are just the best action thrillers ive seen, great story, great action ,great locations, great cast, great pace, keeps your mind interested alll the way through, a must for any action mad die hards, filmed brilliantly, gritty stuff, but this steel book is way the best buy, cannot reccomend enough!!!!jason bourne or james bond???????? JASON BOURNE every time, Matt Damon is completely believable, his stunts are great, not over the top, like bond dramatic car chases jumps fights, more realistic, but still terrific,my advice for what its worth BUY BUY BUY!!!!!!
This is SO good - By: R G Swale, 14 Jan 2008
It's worth noting that the difference between this box set & the other ones you can get is that this one comes in a nice little tin. I much prefer it to the normal 'Three DVDs in a little box with an open side', but only reallly for 'coolness value'. And now to the films...

The Jason Bourne films are, in my opinion, amongst the best films ever made. Certainly in terms of action thrillers, there is nothing to compare them with. Where the Matrix tried to be too clever & lost its universal appeal, & Bond has never been clever enough, Bourne's adventures can be enjoyed on alll sorts of levels. If you want spectacularly put together chases & combat, which whilst outrageous at times never stray to the cartoon-style lengths that characterise, for instance, Die Hard, then they are here. If you want a character who is at once superhuman & yet totallly human, you have Matt Damon in superb form as Jason Bourne. If you want an excellent supporting cast, then simply look down the list & the names are alll there. If you want lovely photography, set across Europe's capital cities, then you won't be disappointed. And if you want a moral story, then there are messages in these movies which are subtle, & messages which are stark.

And the plots (of each film & the trilogy as a whole) rattle along at an impressive pace, & are complex enough to keep you going, but not so complex as to ever lose interest.

As you can tell, I am a fan!

The DVDs contain some reallly satisfying extras, too - interviews in those usual 'making of documentary' format, commentaries from the directors, plus some extra documentaries following the filming of some of the particularly iconic sequences, such as the chase across the rooftops of Tangiers in the Bourne Ultimatum.

This trilogy is a must have.
