24 - Season 7 - By: SHEILA LEE-PEGG, 16 Mar 2010
Season 7 is a continuation of our collection of 24. We checked out prices in stores & online & as usual found that Amazon was the best deal. Ordered the item on Prime Time & it was delivered the following day; such efficiency was noted for the future. The series is brilliant & we look forward to Season 8 - ordered from Amazon of course.

Absolutely superb!
Completely gripping from the very beginning with lots of twists & turns in the plot.
Cliffhanging endings to episodes leaves you wanting to watch 'just one more'!
This time the story is set in Washington where spies & terrorists have managed to infiltrate the White House & the FBI. Wonderful shots of the city too.
Very nice to see some of the old characters back.
Can't wait for Season 8 to be released!.
Formula becoming a bit tired - By: J. McDonald, 07 Mar 2010
Struggling to imagine that I might want to devote the time to watch 24 episodes of Series 8.
7 was okay but you feel like you do after eating too much chocolate - you promise never to do it again.
One of the best and most addictive shows on TV now on Blu ray - By: A. M. Brooks, 11 Feb 2010
24 is must watch television. It is one of the best & most addictive shows on tv, this action packed show comes complete with twists, turns & brilliant surprising moments that will keep you gripped.
I own alll the previous seasons on dvd & was excited when i saw that season 7 was being released on blu ray. This season has a welcomed change of scenery as it is now set in Washington DC with jack helping the FBI & old colleagues from CTU which was shut down sometime between day 6 & day 7.
With this being on blu ray the image is fantastic, there are no black borders at the top & bottom of the screen like there is on most movies that are on blu ray. The only negative with the blu ray version is that some scenes are very grainy & this can get distracting, although it isn't as bad on tv's that are under 40inches, the grain only seems to occur in the background but the character & the main focus of the scene is still very high quality at the same time.
Overalll this is another fantastic season of 24 only this time in amazing hi definition.
24 Season 7 is a MASSIVE Return to Form - By: A. Cox, 11 Feb 2010
I have been a big fan of 24 since Season 4 (yes, sadly Season 4 was my first one) so I instantly got hooked into this series after buying the box sets to catch up, & subsequently watched Seasons 5 & 6 aswell. Season 5, in my opinion, was as strong as any series in the history of the show & while Season 6 was good overalll, it lacked something & the ending was a bit of a disappointment. I have a soft spot for Season 5 because it was so strong overalll, & it was the first reallly, properly strong series that I actuallly watched on TV.
So Season 7 had alot to live up to, especiallly as the writers brought Tony Almeida back & placed him in full view in the preview trailers before the series was aired (Tonys re-emergence as a character was their big play for this season from the very beginning, they didn't attempt to hide him as a surprise inclusion at alll). I think most fans were delighted to see him back & were curious as to his role, as I was.
The story to 24 Season 7 begins with Jack in trouble for his relentless torturing of suspects over the years, when the FBI come callling for his assistance as it seems an alll too familiar face is back & is plotting to take revenge against the US. For Jack, his mission is clear - take this man down. However, as the series goes on, it turns out that this terrorist attack on the US isn't quite what it seems after alll...
I have to say the writers did a great job with this series. They brought in a female partner, as such, for Jack in the shape of Renee Walker. In the early part of the series, they reallly made Jack out to be an almost heartless killing machine, & used Renee to show him up as this type of person at several points throughout the series, then ended the series with Jacks actual humanity very much intact & playing a major part in the story as a whole. Jack & Renees partnership is a major factor of this season & both the writers & the actors did an excellent job with alll aspects of their often conflicting personal ideas & opinions. The plot to Season 7 itself twists & turns its way with several REALLY good & completely unforseeable twists aswell - I know a few of them reallly shocked me & I have seen alll the series up to now. I don't want to get too much into story details as many of you may not have seen the series but alll I can conclude on is this - I have already stated my love for Season 5 which, for me at least, was a brilliant series & one of the best since the show first aired. Season 7 is right back on track with the action, drama, suspense, & sheer brilliance of storytelling that made me love 24 in the first place. It very much makes up for the minor step backwards from Season 6. This series brings back everything we love about 24 into one neat & tidy little package. At the end of every episode of Season 7, you just cannot resist moving onto the next one - an addiction which was sadly lacking in several parts of Season 6.
Highly recommended from me... this is a great series & as a 24 fan, I have to say that I very much loved it 5/5
