Embarrassingly incompetant service from Amazon - By: P. Rawcliffe, 07 Mar 2010
I have been waiting for weeks for this product to arrive.

When I purchased it I was told it was in stock & expected delivery 3-5 working days.

They lied 3 times !

Even said they had tried to deliver it once but they never did!

I eventuallly spoke to a senior manager in ireland who reordered it for me sending it express at their expense

She assured me it was in stock & I would have it the next day

it never arrived !

Oh it was in stock then errr it wasn't in stock even after a senior manager told me it was !

I waited in for it missing work a second time !

It didn't arrive again

A couple of days later it did eventuallly via good old parcel force.

Amazon delivery is absolutely pathetic...the pits... they don't seem to give a damn !

They haven't a clue what is in stock & no control over their delivery service.

Their new delivery company lie about delivering

I will buy through Amazon but through the marketplace where I can trust people NOT EVER from Amazon AGAIN.

Angel, Worth It? - By: Kai Shepherd, 09 Feb 2010
If you like buffy you should buy this... bla bla bla. Yes? Well you're wondering why? What's so good about it? Let me enlighten you, this DVD collection is good for what it is, a Complete DVD collection. It takes place in the Buffy Universe Season 4+... Season 5 of Angel takes place where Season 8 of Buffy would (However this was never made into a television show mearly only into graphic novels "A must have" for any Buffy collector) Anyway this is a good end to the Joss Whedon television extravaganza that is the Buffy Universe. This is easily David Boreanaz's best acting to date along side the likes of Bones. Excellent acting from alll characters with a few familiar faces popping up from Buffy its sister show. Season 1 - 5 (This is alll the televised seasons that were made of Angel) anything after that say season 6 were made in graphic novel form like the Buffy Season 8 novels. Again another must buy for any fan. My recomendation, buy it? Yes. Feel good about buying it? Yes. Should you pay over 200 for this? No. This is a good buy guys & gets a thumbs up from me.
Not to be missed out on - By: Mr. J. Kemp, 20 Jan 2010
Great value box set, would be miles more expensive even for second hand on ebay!
18 certificate for maybe a couple of episodes in the box set, but compared the the searies shown on tv, this box set gives the extra bits that were maybe cut out of the show on tv making this box set even more worth while. Well worth the investment & a must for any angel/buffy fan. Buy with confidence, you wont be dissapointed.
Overall great but with a few hiccups - By: E. Brodie, 11 Jan 2010
(Be warned- a few plot spoilers)

In Angel I commend the idea of an ongoing `big bad' organisation which is constantly in the background of alll the series contributes to events that unfold through out the five series. Including the reintroduction of characters thought to be gone, reallly helping to explore more of Angel's past.
I applaude the character of Lorne played by Andy Halllet who apart from having a superb singing voice brings another demon to the group, who is almost the opposite `good guy demon' to Angel & the use of light humour with his character acts as a bit of relief from the brooding Angel.
The development of the character Wesley is one of the most memorable for me, his slightly geeky school-boyish qualities continue through for the first two seasons meanwhile his love for another player in the `angel investigations `team develops. His situation dramaticallly changing in season 3 after having to make difficult decisions regarding the welfare of another character based on a prophecy he has deciphered. After he becomes isolated & alone he has to harden as a person turning to others for comfort he normallly wouldn't.
For me there are two main problems with these series. First the introduction of Connor in series 3, although pleasant as a baby, as a teenager grows to become extremely `angsty' & aggravating as the series progress. And secondly the appearance of `Jasmine' who although is played by the talented Gina Torres (also starring in Whedon's Firefly) reallly didn't do anything for me in season four.
However the hilarious relationship between `Angel' & a re-introduced character brings yet more humour to the gang. As the two are forced into situations where they have to work alongside each other. Overalll, for Buffy fans it is a must see as it reveals not only more about Buffy & Angel's relationship in a particularly moving episode but about other characters that return later in Buffy. Plus the storylines are darker & are entertaining in their own way.
