Best of both worlds - By: A. Robinson, 09 Mar 2010
This movie is one of my alll time favourites & a must for the whole family (and newcomers/guests) at every Christmas just like the turkey. So I had to have the coloured version as well which is going to be the surprise next Christmas (for any moaners complaining "I have seen this before!!!"). I did not realize that the DVD contains the original black & white as well as the coloured version but even better so. It is much better than I expected, I thought the frames would look rather "painted over" but the effect is quite good. Some scenes in the snow in the dark do not look coloured at alll & would certainly look different if filmed in colour but it does not spoil it for me, it is an old film after alll. And it remains a masterpiece in any version. Funny to see the colour of their clothes, some are completely different to what I imagined. So if you want to have a change, want to just own it or are simply curious I can only recommend it!
Fantastic - By: Debs, 20 Feb 2010
The colour looks so good it's as though it has always been there.
Lovely film & great to be able to see it in colour, good to have the original as well.
Bawl in Colour - By: Mr. Arthur L. Hancock, 06 Feb 2010
A coloured bawl bonanza. Everyone who complains should be made to see this & understand the impact of the message:'it may not get a whole lot better; but it could be an awful lot worse".
Its a wonderful life - By: Avril Wilson, 03 Feb 2010
What a great DVD, you will need plenty of tissues though. The story has a reallly good moral message for the viewers. I think the them of the story is also quite current, given the recent recession we have experienced. The acting is great & reallly draws you into the life of the people. My 15 year old grandaughter watched it & reallly enjoyed it. I had previously seen the black & white version many years ago, but enjoyed the colour as it brought it up to date.
It's a Wonderful Life (Blu-ray version) - By: Brf Churchill, 02 Feb 2010
First about the film,a classic xmas film everyone should have this In there collection always gets me everytime I see It.I love classic B/W films but this version has gone the extra mile, let me tell you colourising It has not deterred It in any way shape or form. In fact I think It Improves It! so much color & detail, am sure the B/W purist's will disagree. Now for the iceing on the cake the Blu-ray version blew me away, watching It on a full 1080 panasonic HD TV was awsome, It looked like It was made yesterday.even the H/D B/W version was crisp & clear. In a nutshell If you have'nt got It get It now.
