Fantastic, a must have for anyone who has an interest in this period of history!
I love this series! - By: C. Rucroft, 16 Jun 2009 I absolutely love 'The Tudors'. Although the historical nature is perhaps not 100% accurate, it's still a great drama.
Other reviewers who have given this a low rating, perhaps should watch a documentary instead (much more boring but historicallly right). Something with David Starky should fit the bill.
This is not a documentary. It's a fun, laid-back drama. Buy it! x

How sad it is that an American who has previously admired the British educational system now finds out how misled I was. From these "reviews" it's obvious that most English TV watchers are pitifully ignorant of their history & what is worse don't care in the least. Pretty clothes, fancy sets, pretty faces and, yes, lots of sex & nudity--that's what brings in the high ratings. As a nation, you a pretty pathetic example of a nation in cultural decline. Sad, sad, sad.

My son found this very useful viewing for his history AS level exam. It brought the whole period alive for him.
