I loved the show before I bought it, but I'm glad I have it to add to my collection. It is an excellent series & no sci-fi fan is complete without this! The characters are wonderfully developed & the plots are captivating. And to alll the actors & crew that worked hard on this, it reallly shows through to the audience.

This is quite an exciting series, the stories are interesting & the acting is superb with each member giving stellar, quite intense, performances.
But this is a very adult series with some strong violence, gore & strong sex references. I certainly wouldn't let anyone under the age of 15 watch it.

Torchwood does not work at alll for. I'm not saying it's bad, I just don't like it. There are several reasons for that. One is that the storylines are not very complex, it's more about stringing together interesting scenes. Secondly, I don't particularly like the mix of humour & action. I leaves me somewhat uneasy to watch a stab victim dying in a realstic way & then the funny stuff starts. Plus I find it very fast paced, too fast for my viewing habits. Thirdly, I think Barrowman doesn't deliver a good performance. To me he just seems to mimick Eccleston's Dr. Who.
