This was a favourite of mine from the 80s - I just rewatched it again for the first time in years on this DVD. The picture & sound quality are first rate.

The film itself is a real mix of teen movie, horror, sci-fi, cheese, romance & tragedy. All the actors are excellent & reallly carry the emotion of the story. Lots of classic moments - you will either love it or hate it!
