So the film does not relate to the classic book !

The title of the film & the inclusion of Man Friday is about where the similarities between the film & the book end.

The script bore NO resemblance to the book (I have scoured my copy & can't seem to find ANY reference to Crusoe fleeing England after killing his friend in a fight over a woman or of a duel to the death between Crusoe & Friday on a narrow board over a bed of hot coals egged on by some natives !!!)

I have waited years for someone to do this film justice.
Halllmark films, Miramax, Brosnan & the 2 directors* hang your heads in shame !!!

* Even with 2 directors they couldn't save this !!!
