For the quality of the restoration, the extras & value for money this has got to be one the best box sets ever produced. Excellent.
BEST BUY - By: R. Houghton, 11 Aug 2008 I can't recommend this box set highly enough. It's VERY good value, but take a tip from me & buy it from AMAZON USA (it's new, & it will work out cheaper, even with post & packing) Its very well produced, with four disks holding the movies, & plenty of extras, plus a hard backed book of 40 + pages & a folder of quality black & white photographs from the four films featured.
One of the best things is the bonus disk, especiallly the 'Judy Garland Song book' which is worth the money in itself. Over twenty full-length song clips from Judy's movies scanning the years from 1936 - 1954. Brilliant! Wish i could give it ten stars!

The box set is immense, with an extensive booklet, bonus disc featuring a Judy Garland songbook & an interview Mickey Rooney did for TCM, a set of beautiful glossy photographs of the dynamic duo, & 4 discs jam packed with extras such as commentaries by the acclaimed Garland historian John Fricke, stereo remixes, audio bonuses, vintage short films & trailers.
The four films here are presented in stunning black & white, & include Babes in Arms (1939), Strike Up The Band (1940), Babes on Broadway (1941) & Girl Crazy (1943).
Garland & Rooney fans never had it so good!

The bonus disc is worth the cost of this box set on its own. This bonus disc includes the interview Mickey Rooney did for TCM, & the Judy Garland song book, a collection of Judys best loved songs from her films.
