Forgettable - By: B., 24 May 2008
I'll never understand how films like this draw crowds like bees to honey. I find them to be trite, simplistic and, ultimately, insulting. The caliber of humor here suggests the average viewer is hopelessly high school - forever snapping bra straps & giggling at fart jokes. Haven't the majority of moviegoers evolved beyond this by now?

Give it six months & you won't even remember if you've seen it or not... it's that forgettable.
Ferrell's best roll. - By: M. Behenna, 07 May 2008
I had only seen Will Ferrell in roles from Bewitched & Elf, both of which I didn't like. Jon Heder is of course well known as Napoleon Dynamite. I was bored, turned on the television, switched to Sky Movies & ended up with Blades of Glory. And you know what? It's actuallly quite good.

There, I said it. It's a film I'm almost ashamed to like. Ferrell plays a sex crazed egomaniac in what is simply his best role yet, Heder plays the "uber skater" trained to perfection since he was a child. The humour is a tad crude, but it still had me coming back for more.

Now excuse me while I close the curtains & dim the lights in order to hide my embarrassment as I watch this glorious trash yet again.
complete rubbish - By: P. Roper, 31 Mar 2008
Not funny - very boring - the plot none existant - The only reason its worth one star is that its under 90 minutes long!
Fan of Will Ferrell? Me neither - By: Timo King, 27 Mar 2008
This film doesn't need a long review..

It's short & predictable with only basic slapstick humour, including no real 'earned' laughs what so ever. I've yet to watch a film with Will Ferrell that's actuallly funny in some regard. If you like him though (and plenty do) then you'll probably be writhing in hysteria from this hollywood crap-fest. Although the film warrants 'easy-watching' if you were hungover or perhaps had some terrible sickness.
Forgettable - By: D. G. Kesby, 23 Feb 2008
I saw this at the cinema & I can only remember laughing when a boy in front of us asked his dad what something meant. The moment was the funniest of the whole film, yet I can't remember what the 'something' was. That is how truly forgettable this film is. However, I don't recalll coming out of the cinema & thinking that I had just seen a bad film, so it can't have been atrocious!

I think if you like other films with Will Ferrell in them, then this seems to follow along the same lines. It's mostly slapstick humour, with a romantic story stuttering along in the background. This film had no profound effect on me at alll, but I would recommend it for light entertainment if you have money & time to burn!
