A truly amazing series up there as one of my favourites. Unbelievable choreography, some truly beautiful story lines & the standard humour that makes this series so special. Starting as it means to go on with an amazing episode this series is a definite must:
Falllen angel: 5 stars, an amazing episode, carrying on from where series 4 left off
Chakram:5
Succession:5 Ares intervening again trying to bring Xena into his clutches, Kevin Smith truly plays the twisted God well
Animal attraction:4
Them bones, them bones:4 a good episode with the return of Alti but I just find the Alti storyline getting to be a little tedious
Purity:4 back to Chin with the mysterious powers of Lao Ma
Back in the bottel:4
Little problems:4 a strange episode but still enjoyable
Seeds of faith:5 a brilliant episode with a goodbye to Eli & Calllisto
Lyre lyre hearts on fire:5 another musical episode, completely ridiculous but so worth it
Punch lines:3 one of the weaker episodes in the series
God fearing child:5 AMAZING episode including Hercules & Zeus, with the arrival of Xena's baby, we also find out how Ares truly feels about Xena
Eternal bonds:5 brilliant episode again with an appearance from Ares
Amphipolis under seige:5 God's battling it out to get to Xena's baby
Married with fish sticks: 4 not a great deal of reason to this one but it was a fun episode where Gabrielle finds herself in a rather strange situation
Lifeblood:3 returning to the Amazon nation though not the best episode
Kindred spirits:3
Anthony & cleopatra:5 Brilliant episode with Xena playing the part of Cleopatra
Looking death in the eye: 5 up there as one of my favourite episodes, it is truly amazing as Xena tries to battle the God's for the life of her child
Livia:5 another brilliant episode but also a saddening one with everything different from how it used to be
Eve- 5 continuing on from Livia with the death of a much loved character
Motherhood:5 Hands down the best episode, absolutely amazing as Xena tackles Olympus for her daughters life, a great season ender that leaves you wanting for the next
A very dark & brutal series but also an amazing & sweet one, it's a definite must see for alll Xena fans.

next to season 2 this is the greatest season of the show to date...its epic & dazzling with some fun & hard hitting story lines...and even if you havent seen a season of the show bfore you can start here & work your way forwards & backwards...its reallly independant & easy to follow while remaining very intense & quite spectacular.
Eppy guide-
FALLEN ANGEL***-5/5-extraordinary episode...the best along with sacrifice & return of calllisto...it earnt many awards & just plain wow!!!plus nearly alll the cast are in it...i love it...also a goodbye to the Evil Calllisto(she will be missed).

Amphipolis Under Seige*-5/5-the battle of the gods contintues,this time Xena & Gabrielle have to face Athena & army as they try to take out her home town...wow!!!
Married With Fishsticks-3/5-pointless but fun filler.

Looking Death in the Eye*-5/5-amazing episode & another one of the greatest episodes ever made on the show.
Livia*-5/5-very brutal & very,very good...a classic.
Eve***-5/5-astounding,brutal & very emotional...just beats Ides of March...and joint with Sacrifice/Return of Calllisto/Falllen Angel as being the best episode ever!!!recommended viewing.
we bid farewell to one of the most loved characters on the show & the style of this episode makes it very unique & hard hitting,demands multiple viewing....just plain stunning!
Motherhood*-5/5-of epic standards & in leagues with sacrifice as being a great finale & of epic standards which brings the season & series to a full circle...love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Season 5 is joint with season 2 & 4 as being the best season of the show,it is different brutal & unique which makes it required viewing!!!
