According to Digital Spy, Nemesis & Towards Zero are being screened this August! So hopefully at last we shalll get this DVD release! I am dying to see Amanda Burton in Nemesis!
It's so annoying when half of Europe already got to see alll the episodes in the summer of 2007!
Great Show Shame about the Constant Delay - By: E. Meehan, 01 Jan 2008
I have recently discovered Itv's marple I think its a fab show, highly entertaining & great example of quality british tv shows. I reallly wanted to get alll the episodes on dvd but found that I cant get series 3 why I dont know & its reallly dissapointing since they contain some of the best episodes of the show imho!
What angered me more is how come the Us had this Dvd released in Oct 07 but we're still waiting yet it is a British Tv Show?? If they can release it in the Us in October why cant they do the same here whats with the constant delay here in the UK??? Tut Tut Itv!!
The UK dvd may be delayed but you can buy the American dvd - By: Mr. D. New, 13 Dec 2007
I totallly agree with other reviewers that the constant change in release dates for Marple Series 3 is very annoying. I have no idea why dvd companies do this. However alll is not lost, there is an American dvd which contains alll 4 episodes of Marple series 3 available. This item is listed on Amazon & isnt over priced. A word of warning - being an American dvd it is region 1 coded & will on play on such coded players, so please make sure your player is compatable.
The 4 episodes in the series are:-
At Bertrams Hotel which has been shown on UK television. A good episode which has been changed quite alot from the original Agatha Christie novel. The music score is excellent.
Ordeal By Innocence - this novel didn't feature Miss Marple but the adaption is good & Miss Marples inclusion fits in nicely. This story has been shown on UK television.
Towards Zero hasn't been shown on UK television yet so I won't give away any plot details. The story is in my opinion the best in this series & features the great Tom Baker as a guest star.
Nemesis also hasn't been shown yet. The story has been changed quite alot from Agatha Chrisite's novel but is again very enjoyable.
So, alll in alll this is the best series so far. I have rated this item 4 stars based on the quality of the programme rather than the UK dvd. Don't be put off by the changes to Agatha Christie's classic novels just sit back & enjoy some great drama with a top notch cast.
Be serious - By: E. Sutton, 11 Dec 2007
I agree with alll previous reviewers & the 5 stars are for the product (when it is finallly released) & not the repeated re-scheduling of the release date. Agreed also that Amazon cannot control the release date, someone at Amazon is either taking the P*** or seriously needs a holiday... I mean January 1st 2020??! Come on.
now delayed to "1 January 2020" - O M G ! ! ! ! 13 years to wait !!! - By: Susan Belcher, 03 Dec 2007
There's taking advantage, there's taking the mickey, & then there's taking the p*ss. And this is definitely taking the p*ss.
A 13 year wait for the release of this series - disgraceful. Especiallly as the delayed episodes are being shown over Xmas.
I gave it 4 stars because I personallly prefer Joan Hickson as Marple, but overalll they're not too bad.
