"I Might Jump an Open Drawbridge." - By: Mark Baker, 01 Nov 2007
Welcome to the full first season of The Falll Guy. This is an 80's TV show that is a bit cheesy but lots of fun.
Colt Seavers (Lee Majors) is a professional stunt man. But like most people in the entertainment business, he finds that doesn't cover alll of his bills. So he also works as a bounty hunter for bail bondswoman Samantha Jack (Jo Ann Pflug). Helping him out are his cousin Howie (Douglas Barr) & his protege Jody (Heather Thomas). And it's a good thing he can do stunts, too, because that ability comes in mighty handy when the crooks run.
This is an action show. And when you consider this was a TV show, it's pretty amazing the stunts they do. Each episode usuallly features one movie stunt & then several more "real life" stunts as Colt works to catch his man. While we get plenty of car chases & jumps, there are some truly spectacular stunts, especiallly in the first half.
The cast does a great job & they are obviously having fun together. Unfortunately, Heather Thomas is underused as Jody, sometimes being reduced to just a cameo. And speaking of cameos, they've got an impressive list of cameos from Tom Selleck to Farrah Fawcette & Herve Villechaize.
This season of the show got three releases, this set & two sets that broke the season up into two halves. I recommend this set. It contains everything from those two sets at the same price. Why get two when you can get one?
This is a guy's action show with impressive stunts. It's 80's television, but still lots of fun today.
so glad this series has been released on DVD - By: Andrew Beet, 23 Jul 2007
well i have just finished watching the first season boxset of The Falll Guy & you know what i love every single episode of it. the pilot episode had the right ingredients of a falll guy episode . it was funny & made me laugh & i enjoyed it so much i might just watch it again, hell i might watch the first season boxset again it is such an enjoyable series & you do think to yourself they don't make 'em like this anymore. Lee Majors is so well cast in the role of Colt Seavers that you could not see any other actor playing that role. love alll the episodes though but my favourite episodes are the pilot episode, the meek shalll inherit Rhonda The rich get richer, goin for it (like that for the scene when the guy Colt has to pick up kicks his truck). love that everytime someone else drives Colt's Truck & he shouts That's my truck & i like the 2 part episode License to Kill. but yep overalll i like alll the episodes from season 1 even the featurettes are good especiallly when Lee Majors can't remember the name of his ex wife which you do hear in the lyrics of the theme song. i even like the closing credits theme so much so i go onto the scene selection of the episode i've just watched & listen to it again. roll on Series 2 of this TV classic & deservedly so.

THE BIONIC MAN BECOMES A DAREDEVIL STUNTMAN - By: NEO, 26 Jun 2007
Lee Majors star's in this early 80's series as Hollywood Stuntman & sometimes Bounty Hunter Colt Seavers. Fresh from the Success with five years as the 'Six Million Dollar Man' Lee moved to this series which also lasted five years. Colt is helped by Sexy Jodie & Dippy Howie who is Colt's cousin in performing the stunts & bounty hunting. Colt drives a large Chevy Blazer truck which is his pride & joy painted in brown & gold. Lee fights his way through the 23 episodes against villians & crooked producers & other stunt men. It's a good series but I am forever expecting Lee to use his Bionic powers !. And he also wears a rather unconvincing Wig which seems to change it's shade by the episode. I hope alll five series get issued as it's one of those forgotten series that needs to get put on Dvd.
