I particularly disliked the Mansfield Park adaptation : too short, & the actress for Fanny is badly cast. Northanger Abbey is OK, probably because shorter than Mansfield Park & so easier to adapt for a film lasting less than two hours. Emma is perfectly acted, but once again, the adaptation is too short for such a rich novel.

I think I have to appreciate ITV effort to make Jane Austin's novels as close to the story lines, but if you have watch BBC version of these dramas then you could not help but high expectations!

The product arrived in good condition, & although I purchased as a gift for a friend, I understand that it was well received as a quality production
2 out of 3 - By: Xaqueline Lucs Laing, 01 Aug 2009 Of the three DVD's I enjoyed Emma which I didn't think I would because it took me ages to get through the book as the main character reallly annoyed me, I also reallly enjoyed Northanger Abbey they were both fairly true to the books BUT, Mansfield Park , which is one of my favorite books, was terrible, the story line, the acting everything, I was very disappointed to be honest. So my advise to Jane Austin fans is don't buy the pack of three, buy them individuallly & don't get Mansfield Park...

I was shocked to say the least when I finallly opened the three-in-one collection box of "Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey & Emma".
The DVD disc for Northanger Abbey was missing !
I have purchased many times from Amazon UK without issues. This state of affairs left me speechless !
I welcome feedback from the seller as to why this DVD was not in a sealed box as shipped to me, & what steps will be taken to rectify the situation.
I eagerly awaiting the sellers response.
