This show is fantastic!
I just bought it on a wim because I heard people talking about it & Ive seen some of its actors in other brilliant things over the years but it was never aired here....I watched series 1-4 in about a week :-)
The writing is brilliant so are the actors. I adore the Mullen family & everyone else. You either love the characters, or in some cases you love to hate them!
I reallly want the last series to make my collection complete :-( I hope it comes soon or I feel a little cheated...I need the end!

Having watched alll of the series when they were on tv, I recently purchased series 1-4 & watched them within a short space of time. I had forgotten how fantastic this series was but I am so disappointed that series 5 is not available. Will it be out soon? I don't reallly see thepoint in releasing 1-4 if 5 is not going to be released. Even so, if you've never seen PTF before its well worth watching if you like feel good, gritty dramas! Amazon take note, tell us where series 5 is!
Playing the Field - release of Season 5 - By: Mrs. Tara Harris, 03 May 2007 I would like to 100% agree with Mrs H Green about season 5 of playing the field being released on DVD. I have purchased the other four but it would be wonderful if I could have the final instalment. Am so surprised as am sure there would be lots of other playing the field fans interested.
Please release soon. This show was fantastic. Well worth purchasing the first four series though.

Green, 29 Jan 2007 I loved this series & watched it every week on tv, I was disappointed that it had only ever been available on video & then the final series was never released!? I note that series 3 & 4 are coming out in April but no mention of 5 yet, PLEASE, PLEASE make this available to buy on dvd,I would love to buy on dvd but will only do so when the last series is also available, there is not much point in watching if you cannot watch the end!
