Brilliant Policing - By: Commando Ken, 27 Feb 2010
Series 1 & 2 are absolutely brilliant reflections of policing & attitudes at the time. I should know. I was one. Hyped up a bit for the camera but great fun & entertainment & a good laugh to boot.
Short, but amazing, series - By: S. Oien, 26 Jan 2010
I got both seasons of "Life on Mars" as Christmas prezzie this last holiday just because I'm a big Who fan (John Simm). I was pleasently surprised by the first season which I thought was very good. Strong individual episodes but it didn't move forward too much. Season two is more of the same. The episodes are a bit weaker on their own, but the over reaching arch is a lot better, & the last episodes makes up for whatever weakness the earlier episodes in season 2 had. Thank you BBC for making a great series, although a bit short. They did at least round it off perfectly!
LOM Series 2 - By: Mrs. T. Greenhough, 11 Jan 2010
When I first watched the second series I was sat in my arm chair hoping, praying that it would be as brilliant as the first series. And guess what, it bloody was.
Life on mars is a fantastic idea that was potrayed fantasticly bty the cast.
These episodes are eight hours of TV gold this is a significant inportant show that you need to watch!

Innovative, well acted, great - By: W. Edwards, 19 Dec 2009
I did not get into this when it was first broadcast but on recommendation I bought the first series & then quickly sent off for the second series & watched one episode a night.
The second series can be quite dark (like A Very Peculiar Practice was dark). This is one of those rare TV gems with great writers & actors that can re-visited. Watch the episodes in order when you can give them full attention. The haunting singing of, I think, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole in one episode was particularly striking.
