The good news: Lionsgate has put out the European theatrical version of Emmanuelle 5, Walerian Borowcyzk's penultimate feature film, in it's original English dialogue. The VERY bad news: it's in PAN & SCAN fullscreen! What the heck were they thinking? This cuts off almost half the intended image... I am seriously dismayed.

However, if you can't find the rare Greek pal widescreen (but not anamorphic), this is better than nothing.

E5 finds Borowcyzk in a lighter mood, poking fun at the Cannes Film Festival, censorship & foreign perception of the Middle East. Strange, surreal, & sexy.... our heroine has never been in better hands. And with an incredible Pierre Bachelet score!
