Sheridan Smith's character, Michelle, is almost identical to her previous role, Janet in Two Pints of Lager & a Packet of Crisps, so I found this series a little odd to watch.
In fact, the whole sit-com is in the Two Pints style, but sadly, I didn't find it as funny as Two Pints.
There's an interesting variety of other characters though, & they are quite different from the Two Pints ones, so perhaps subsequent series will be better as the characters develop.
By the way, Olivia Blair's review is for the American programme "Grown Ups" (1997), & not the British one, "Grownups" (2006). Her review also appears to have been copied directly from Wikipedia.

this is a great series & i am reallly pleased its out on dvd cause i missed the first 2 episodes,,can't wait for series 2
