Utter Rubbish - By: S. A. Lee, 23 Apr 2008
As a fan of hip hop & and Tartan movies I thought this was going to be a guaranteed winner. Wrong, this is utter drivel & I am amazed by the other reviews. The acting is none existent, it looks like a group of mates who have never acted in their lives made a film & decided to act in it.
The storyline is unrealistic & boring & the soundtrack only has a couple of good tracks.
Don't waste your money. Go & watch a classic like New Jack City or Juice instead of this cheap rubbish.

*+*+ Drugs, Streets & Music +*+*
Another film just like Kidulthood but this ones about big boys on the road, the true ones who rolls (whos armed) with Nines (a gun). The films very catchy. Actors played well. You cannot take your eyes off it even for one second.
The title sums it up. Rollin with guns. Music, makin records. Dealin drugs. Its All about streets of London these days.
It has some funny bits as well just like Kidulthood.
"Only people who smoke weed are blacks & pikies & i cant deal with them cun**"
VERY REAL. VERY POWERFUL FILM.

Best British Urban Movie of 2006 - By: shansu69, 02 Feb 2007
If you're type of movie is Kidulthood,or Green Street or the Business then this the second effort from director Julian Gilbey will be right up your street.
Filmed in 2004/05 but only out in cinemas in 2006 it tells the story of a rap group TimeServe whose members include ex-Blue boy Simon Webbe who meets a grizzly end after 10 minutes ,because he owed a yardie named Temper some money.
His sister is then beaten & raped by Temper & exacts her revenge in a bloody & gruesome way,she along with a couple of friends Dizzy & Pusher black by Brit acting stalwarts Vas Blackwood & Robbie Gee go into the drug dealing game with drugs supplied by the local Mr Big played by Bill regular Billy Murray.
This film is fantastic uniformely great performances ,there reallly isnt a duff performance & there is plenty of guns, drugs, blood, car chases to keep the most hardened action movie buff happy & language that would make a sailor blush.
The police that are in this are not exactly on the straight & narrow the lead cop DS White played by Terry 'Turbo'Stone who makes Frank Burnside look like Dixon of Dock Green.
Great movie, great soundtrack & in Gilbey who in the excellent 1hr plus documentary on the making of the movie there is a British director that could go alll the way IMHO.
Watch this wyou maybe shocked but you'll love it.
Dont read that, watch this. - By: JD, 21 Sep 2006
Until I saw this I thought Kidulthood was the best film I'd seen this year. Its in the same realm however this is this is how the big boys do it. Rollin With The Nines is an excellent film although sometimes predictable. Following the story between starting out in the UK music scene & inevitably making moves into drugs showing you lessons need be learnt without making the mistakes yourself.
Personallly I dont think it deserves its 18 rating. More like a 15. Excellent soundtrack which needs a home cinema system to fully appreciate.
Worth buying because if this sounds like your type of film it will take pride of place in your collection & not just watched once!
