If you only had short time to live, what would you do? - By: Dazman, 14 May 2008
This is an excellent film, it's not an out & out comedy, but there's plenty to laugh & smile at in this truly uplifting film.
Queen Latifah is on top form in one of her very best performances to date, Timothy Hutton, LL Cool J & the wonderful Gerard Depardieu also play their parts very well too.
Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) is given some bad news, she tries to talk this over with her boss at work, but he's too wrapped up in himself to listen to her problem so she decides to quit & do the things in life that she's always wanted to do, but never gotten around to doing.
There's a love interest, but as she has not told a soul about her condition, nor told anyone where she has gone, how is anyone going to track her down to inform her of various bits of news?
Sit down relax & enjoy a wonderful 90 minutes of fun, life & laughs, you may even realise a few things about your life too!!
I LOVE THIS FILM - By: Real Man, 15 Apr 2008
I love this movie.
It's one of the most heart-warming, endearing & hope-filled films I've ever seen.
Sure it's simple, it's not deep, it's not Shakespeare or Goddard or Werner Herzog.
It isn't trying to be.
It's just a reallly simple, sweet, feel-good film with a simple, sweet, feel-good story.
If you want to laugh more, love more, live more & not be so afraid, try this movie.

I was in a dilemma about something - watched this film - & you realise life is too short. It's not heavy going but the message is lovely. Watch it!
Feel Good Factor 10 - By: Frequent Flyer, 14 Aug 2007
I reallly enjoyed this film when I saw it as an inflight movie & had to buy it when it was on DVD release. It's an amusing story of an ordinary woman with an ordinary life who ends up doing some extraordinary things when she gets some life changing news. I thought Queen Latifa was well suited to the role as the heroine in the film & down to earth & amusing. It's a simple but effective plot that leaves you with a rosy glow at the end. Essentiallly, it's a chick flick but there's nothing wrong with that!
