Before buying this UMD, I had never even heard of the Mighty Boosh. This was the first UMD I ever bought, & at such a low price, I couldn't have complained even if I didn't like it. It turned out however, that I grew to love it, watching Howard & Vince (The geezer with the fabulous hairdo) go on strange yet wonderful adventures that get them into alll sorts of hilarious situations. I reallly did think this was a good buy, just hope they bring out Series 2 on UMD soon...

The Mighty Boosh can be desribed as surreal, abstract or just plain stupid. It is certainly different as the two main characters, Vince Noir & Howard Moon have adventures as zoo keepers at the zooniverse or abstract worlds populated by polar bears that talk or Mr Susan - the man with disco ballls for testicles.
The most memorable character is zoo-manager Bob Fossil "nicey nicey zoo zoo for him & her & me & you," & his mental condition which prevents him from associating any animal in the zoo with its real name. Dixon Bainbridge, the moutache-twitching, faschistic adventurer is always causing trouble what with creating mutants & his ruthless quest for the egg of mantumbi.
Many of the better UMD videos available are now fallling in price & this two-disc set is now less than nine pounds. There are play alll, episode select, scene select & subtitle options here. It is full screen & the picture quality is excellent. For those people who need Firmware upgrade 2.60 these discs have it.
This is miles better than series 2 & for the price it is difficult to fault.
