Watched this film on a Princess cruise 3 years ago & loved it. It was callled "Plots with a View" though rather than undertaking Betty. It's a great British Film also featuring Lee Evans. Worth a watch & easy to remove the Dutch subtitles.

While on holiday abroad, I came across this film on a foreign TV channel- I hoped it would have subtitles, but sadly it was dubbed. However, I persevered for several minutes & realised it was a extremely funny film with an excellent cast! I expected to be able to buy it on the internet or in any decent music store, but it was unavailable, + eventuallly I bought it from Holland (with removeable Dutch subtitles) on Ebay! This is a hilarious film, with a very different storyline, which interweaves traditional romance with black humour, + the cast are superb, especiallly Brenda Blethyn + Alfred Molina! Considering the number of titles which are available to purchase- many of them inferior to this comedy- it is a mystery why (1) this film is not readily available in the UK + (2) why it is not better known!! I recommend it to one + alll- watch it, have a good laugh + discover this gem of a film!!

A SUPERB FILM IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HOLD OF! - By: Rosemary J. Gurr, 28 Feb 2006 I watched this film two years ago on a flight & have been looking for it ever since. It is a wonderful, exceedingly funny love story with some great characters, Alfred Molina & Brenda Blethyn are particulary good as the two main characters & star crossed lovers. A five star plus film & worth waiting for.
