I have never done pilates before & I found this DVD a good introduction to it. This DVD is low impact (no jumping around) but you still work up a sweat so thoroughly recommend for a gentle introduction back to exercise. I didn't enjoy this workout the first time I did it but I carried on & after doing it now for at least 10 times, I do enjoy it & it is good for the days when you don't feel like jumping around & want to take it a bit easier. Also for £4, you can't complain if you only use it once!
Instructions are very clear & the woman presenting it always shows you the move before you have to do it. I doubt she got the figure she got just by doing this DVD though as she doesn't break sweat!

...however the teacher's muscular body was clearly not created by Pilates & her physical appearance could put off someone new to Pilates who does not want to look like a female Arnie...
Be asured this lady spends her entire life in the Gym when she's not making Pilates DVD's; probably attached to some huge weight training gizmo.
That apart a keeper :)

In terms of an introduction to pilates its pretty good, but the woman who takes you through it looks like a body builder ( i can't say that i was excited about the prospect of looking like her once i'd had a few goes!) & she is american & insanely irritating with a fixed fake smile on her face through every move. Its a little bit disturbing. If you're looking to lose weight i'd stick to something like 'Charlie Brooks's before & after workout' which includes a pilates based section which is much better & A LOT less irritating!!

I had tried a pilates dvd before but the presenter was annoying & it didn't show any beginner "moves". This DVD however, is great. The presenter is good & it shows different levels of pilates from beginner to moves that are a little more advanced. It is a lot of fun & easy to follow. I will buy more of the DVD's in this range.
Also, after doing everyday since I bought it (7 days ago) I can already see & feel a difference.

I love it, i am new to Pilates but not to fitness & i have to say this is an easy way to get fit & tone up, amasing results in a short time. love it & the instructor is easy to listen to & follow.
