Only Movie That Made Me Laugh Out Loud This Year!!! - By: K. Molloy, 23 Mar 2008
Packed from begging to end with hilarious moments as stiffler gets into alll sorts of trouble,It has a plot you will remember.even as matt changes his ways & trys to help the band to success he still manages to douse their efforts towards success. Diserving of a five star rating no matter what crititism it recheves,.

Never a dull moment, A true asset to the american pie Genre,..
good film but is it the next slice of pie? - By: J. Hallam, 23 May 2007
I bought this because i love the american pie series. Now in its own right it is a very good film. The actor that plays Matt Stiffler does it brilliantly & reallly gives the impression that he is a Stiffler. If it was a film just callled band camp i would have given it 5 stars but its downfalll is that it is meant to be the next slice in the american pie case & it just doesnt feel like a sequel. It is on its own an excelent film but doesnt have the same feel as the first three.
As a Movie on it's own a definate yes... - By: Malcolm Clarke, 17 Dec 2006
The actor who plays Stiflers brother is very convincing. He even looks like S.W. Scott.

As a part of the American Pie series of films I was expecting a total disaster. After alll, they only used the "Band Camp" idea because they could not think of another link right to the other movies right? And the fact no original cast members featured is yet another reason to fear the worst.

But actuallly on it's own it is a pretty good film. Although the gags are repeated, if you like the production & college antics of 1,2 & 3 then you will enjoy the film. Sexy girls, decent plot, an enjoyable hour or two. However if you watch the originals, & then this, you will notice that the American Pie originals are far better. However, on it's own a decent effort.

Despite my enjoyment of the film, there is an overalll feel they are trying to re-create something, when if the original cast are not in it should be left to what has already been done.

That said, I believe there is now a 5th installlment that has just gone straight to video!
It's underrated. - By: Mr. G. Moores, 16 Dec 2006
I wasn't expecting much from this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. Number 1 & 2 are better, but this is much better than number 3.

Jim's dad & The Shermanator are the only 2 of the original cast to come back in this film, & to be honest, I'm reallly glad of that. With there being so many new characters, it frees up the creative side of the story & isn't limited like it was in number 3.

Now, the actor who plays the main character, Matt Stifler, isn't a great actor. But he is just about good enough to pull the Matt Stifler character off. Oh, & Arielle Kebbel in this movie looks totallly hotness.

A good enjoyable better than expected movie.
Disguised, below average, underdog sports movie? - By: Prof TBun, 16 Oct 2006
I wasn't impressed by the American Pie series, but this film bears no relation away, so must be judged on its own merits.

Its the usual American sports movie formula. Take a total misfit (Stifflers brother) add to a team of losers (fat kid, weedy nerd, freaky girl, daddies girl etc.) & hey presto, you can compete with the best teams overnight.

The transformation of Stiffler's brother from Jerk to nice guy is well done. But the rest of the film is pants. The supporting cast is weak. Many of the scenes are just pathetic. The romance lacks any spark whatsoever.

Onto the finale. Its alll setup for a well choreographed band sequence, with some inventive music, but instead we get a damp squib.

Paradoxicallly the film seems aimed at a younger audience than American Pie.

The one thing the film does deserve brownie points for is racial integration. An extremely rare thing across the Pond.

Recommended for American Pie fans to give to their annoying younger siblings as a present. For a very rainy day, when there's absolutely nothing else to watch.

If you were looking for a another, teen sex comedy you won't be disappointed with Porky's.

Or for a matinee, try the more relaxed (raunch free) coming of age movie, Breaking Away.
