Series 3 of Born & Bred is easily the best. The sparring between James Bolam & Michael French hits an alll-time high plus the arrival of Richard Wilson in the second half of the series adds a new dimension. This series also has some wonderful guest stars: Stephanie Cole, Bill Paterson, Sylvia Sims, Una Stubbs, Mark Benton to name but a few. Plus, the fantastic regular cast get some stand-out moments, especiallly Maggie Steed.

This is top-notch entertainment, dramatic stories, great laughs, wonderful characters & a first rate cast. Beautifully filmed, it's ten episodes of immensely satisfying television.
