I was still a little kid when I watched this film about 10-11 years ago (I am 21 now). My sister-in-law had rented this film out for me & I remember thinking that it would be utter crap- but was pleasantly surprised to find that wasn't the case. I watched this film a further three times in the week that we had it. I forgot about it for a long time until a friend & I got into a discussion about great teen movies, it was at this moment that "Teen Witch" popped back into mind. I realised that I had to watch it again. I was a little worried that it would not be as good as when I had watched it as a child but I am happy to report that the magic of "Teen Witch" is alive as ever.
Okay so here is the basic outline: A teenage girl who is not alll that popular suddenly discovers that she is a witch with cool powers & uses said powers to make her life & that of her loved ones better & occassionallly to get even with a few mean classmates & one teacher. Of course it wouldn't be a teen movie without a love interest & this part is played to perfection by Dan Gauthier who plays Brad (swoon) in the film.
Okay so thats my review of this film. Girls (I know guys wont be interested) rent this movie to watch, you will not be dissappointed. It may not be up to scratch with the films of today but it is still fun & uplifting to watch.
Magic makes a girls dreams come true - By: earthgrrl_2001, 23 Sep 2006 This has got to be my absolute favorite film of alll time. its one of those films that you wish was actuallly possible. The movie is centred around a young girl who is crazy about a guy in her school- brad, she & her friend polly are outcasts, but they always have fun anyway.she learns that on her 16 birthday she will recieve her magical powers as she is in fact a witch. she then uses her powers to make alll her dreams come true including those of the people around her. This is the most watched film in my entire dvd collection. you wont regret watching it.
Teen Witch an all time classic! - By: , 23 Jan 2006 This movie is an alll time 80's classic! As a teenager this is the video we rented over & over & over again, Until the video shop burnt down! I think i actuallly know it word to word! The movie is packed with some classic dance routines a real funky rap scene, & i mean funky! There is a love story & much much more. This truly is a classic light hearted alll time fun movie & after years of searching i now own on VHS yeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
Cheesey but great - By: , 04 Nov 2005 This was a film I used to repeatedly rent on video when I was younger so I was reallly excited to see it was available on dvd.
Its a must to rewatch. It is incredibly cheesey, I'd forgotton about the title sequence which is so 80's showing teen witch strutting about on the roof top. The movie is worth watching just for cheer leader dance to "I like boys" & the cringeworthy but great rapping sequence.
The film might not have a great plot line but I loved it so much when I was younger & will rewatch & laugh at it again & again.
If you remember it even slightly buy it. Its just a shame its not available on region 2

This film is based on a girl who, on her sixteenth birthday, dicovers she is a witch. She soon starts to use her powers to get the guy she wants & also transforms herself into the most popular girl at school. A great film with good humour & a good soundtrack, it's every teenage girls idea of a good film.
