Season 8 starts with the detioration of Margarets marriage, & the loss of one of the main, & best characters of the series, Radar o Rielly. The loss of Radar is quite significant, but it is when Klinger's character finallly develops & grows.
As with previous seasons, there are moving episodes, funny & serious episodes.
Sidney Freedman guest stars again. Alan Alda's dad Robert Alda, & Shelley Long also guest star.
Alan Alda had a lot more involvement in the later episodes, & directed a lot in series 8. There is the famous episode "Dreams" which is very memeorable, & was written & created by Alan Alda.
Other episodes include Mr & Mrs who? when Charles returns from Tokyo not remembering anything from the night before, & being shocked when he finds out,
Yessir thats our baby, when a baby girl turns up that is the result of a relationship with a american soldier, & korean woman, that will be shunned by koreans,
and bottle fatigue, where hawkeye shocked by the size of his bar tab decides to go sober for a week.
This DVD set contains alll the episodes from series 8, on 3 discs. As before there are no special features, but you can choose to play alll the episodes without having to choose each separately.
